Our Founder

Bernard Coleman is a seasoned executive and systems thinker with over two decades of experience leading People, Culture, and DEIB strategy at the highest levels—from presidential campaigns to Silicon Valley startups. As the first-ever Chief Diversity & HR Officer for a U.S. presidential campaign, Bernard helped write the playbook for inclusive leadership under pressure. He later led culture transformation at Uber during one of the most scrutinized turnarounds in tech history, and scaled People operations at companies like Gusto and Swing Education. Bernard’s leadership philosophy is rooted in a simple truth: great organizations aren’t built on heroic individuals—they’re built on systems that make everyone better. That belief is the foundation of People Craft.
